Angie Stone is a mixed-media artist living and working in Greenville, South Carolina. Angie is captivated by the nature that surrounds her and all of it's beauty and hidden secrets. She combines the oddest of found and organic objects to create something new and subtly graceful and engaging in her collages. "It's all about the process, not the end result", she says. On the other hand, Angie takes a whole different approach with her paintings. Her canvases are typically large and the subject matter flowers or landscapes. The images are large, bright, colorful and the canvas is rich with texture. All an attempt to help the viewer see the magnificent in the mundane.
Angie is a member of the Artist Guild Gallery of Greenville where she shows her work regularly. She has participated in group exhibitions, as well as, one woman shows in the Greenville area. She has work in private collections in Minnesota, Virginia, South Carolina and Florida. Angie attended Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, Virginia and holds two Bachelor of Fine Art Degrees: one in Sculpture and the other in Painting & Printmaking.
